Food Handling Certification
Provide a copy of a valid food managers certificate or ServSafe card. Each employee needs to have a ServSafe card.
Orientation
You must have a walk through orientation with our manager before operating in our kitchen.

    Common questions about Lulu's Commercial Kitchen

    Can I have a tour of the kitchen?

    Due to high demand, Lulu's Commercial Kitchen offers scheduled group tours each month, typically during the last two weeks, once we have confirmed availability for the upcoming month. These tours are designed to provide an overview of our facility and to answer questions specifically related to our kitchen operations and rental process. Please note that we do not provide guidance or consultation on obtaining permits or licenses. Tour availability varies month to month, and in some cases, tours may not be offered if no openings are anticipated. All tours are by confirmed appointment only; walk-ins cannot be accommodated.

    Do you have parking for food trucks?

    No. While we do not offer Parking for food trucks, we can help you with your commissary Kitchen needs.

    Do I bring my own equipment?

    Our kitchen is equipped with the majority of standard commercial equipment needed for production. That said, Users are welcome to bring their own specialty equipment or smallwares that are unique to their operation. Touring the facility will help you better determine what is already available and what additional tools you may wish to supply for your business.

    Will I have any Storage/Refrigeration space?

    Due to limited storage availability, monthly storage access requires a minimum commitment of 16 kitchen hours per month. Refrigerated and dry storage are available to reserve on a monthly or overnight basis If you are unable to meet the 15-hour monthly requirement, overnight storage options are available at a rate of $15 per night for one refrigerated reach-in door and $10 per night for under-table dry storage. Please note that monthly storage rentals are only available to members enrolled in a minimum 16-hour plan.

    Can I use the kitchen's address as my actual business address?

    No. We don't have a way to handle your mail. We can accept deliveries on occasion for full time members, but we are not responsible for the loss of product. Please plan to be present when receiving deliveries.

    Would it be more people in the kitchen while I am using it?

    When you are scheduled to be in the kitchen, the station you are assigned is exclusively yours. While you will have your own dedicated space, there may be other chefs occupying the three other stations, Shared hand sink and three sink washing station. Each station can accommodate a maximum of five people, including yourself. You are welcome to bring your own staff to assist you, but please ensure every staff member possesses a valid food handler's card.

    Are kids allowed in the kitchen?

    No. Children under 14 are not allowed in the kitchen. Minors over 14 of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    Can I pause my membership?

    Please note that pausing your membership requires us to notify the health department of your non-use. To reactivate your membership, you might have to go through the waiting list (if there is any). You will also need to pay the application fee again, Security Deposit and we will issue a new commissary form.
